As you might or might not know, the game I spent last year on designing buildings, plants, and environments for was released last month. LPS 2 Concepts

Finally I can post some of the stuff I've been working on for "Littlest Pet Shop: Best Friends" game for the Nintendo Wii and DS. Bronze Swallow was Art Director on this project. These first images show where we started and then where Bronze ended up pushing it. Starting with these simple shapes helped a lot in establishing the final look.

Lobo & Risly page #2

Here's page two finished. I like were it's going. I wanted to give the characters a soft feel because I thought it was a nice opposite to the gross realities within the comic. Here Lobo is escaping from the home of Dr. Apollo.

Tiger and Leon Backgrounds

Helping out Kineto Pictures with a childrens show they are working on called "Tiger and Leon". The First room is inspired by my own room growing up. A brightly lit room with lots of random things scattered around and an art desk. The second room is a geek cave for a little nerdling. I would have loved a room like this as a kid. Outer Space and Science Fiction has always interested and horrified me.

Lobo & Risley Comic

Here's a rough of a Lobo and Risley page done for the comic I'm working on. Also I've included a finished color look. This is the look I'm going for . The rough page took me 5 min to rough out, and the color panel took me about 35 min. The rough is extremely sloppy and you might not be able to tell whats happening...that's ok by me as long as the finish looks ok.

Character Animation Crash Course!

This book is a must have for any aspiring or already animator. It teaches some of the basics like squash and stretch and walk cycles, but it also goes into composing dynamic scenes, timing to dialog and music, and animating effects. I really like this book. Check it out.

Littlest Pet Shop

The Littlest Pet Shop game hits shelves today at Walmart, Target, or your local Gamestop. It's for the Nintendo Wii and the DS. I've been working on this game for the past year and it's good to see it finished.

Lobo and Risley

Here's my latest design for "Lobo and Risley". As you can see Risley herself has changed quite a bit. I will post Risley's progression soon. I thought that she might have been too bland before, so I made her 6 and gave her a snaggle tooth. I thought that making her younger and cuter gave her a nice contrast with the zombie dog Lobo and the grotesque Dr. Apollo.




















Dr.Apollo hasn't changed much except for some slight color variations. He's got a nice Wendigo chair to sit in though.















This is the post card I mocked up for Comic-Con. Just as a quick free hand-out that has a little info on the show printed on the back. I've just heard back from Cartoon Network though. The show is not what there looking for right now, seeing that one of the main characters is female. CN cartoons are really gearing towards the young boy crowd right now. I still love "Lobo and Risley" though and I'm planning to have a comic ready for next Comic-Con. Also a sketchbook. Look for post and updates on this blog for more info.

Maverik Squirrel

Here is an animation I just did today of a squirrel. The squirrel is supposed to be running off with a hogie, but it hasn't been added yet. Still a tomato is seen falling off at the end. I tried to get some good exaggerated action and I think it turned out ok.
